Tata Motors has finally introduced the updated Nexon and Nexon.ev models in the Indian market. The 2023 Tata Nexon facelift is competitively priced between Rs 8.10 lakh and Rs 12.99 lakh, while the new Nexon.ev falls in the price range of Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh. Compared to the previous model, the new Nexon.ev sees a price increase ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000. This time around, the electric SUV is available in two versions: MR (Medium Range) and LR (Long Range), and three trims: Creative, Fearless, and Empowered. Similar to its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, the new Tata Nexon.ev trims offer optional packages denoted by a ‘+’ suffix.

2023 Tata Nexon.ev Range, Charging Time
The new Tata Nexon.ev brings several enhancements, both in terms of aesthetics and features. What sets it apart are the mechanical updates that result in improved range. The MR version is equipped with a 30kWh battery, while the LR variant boasts a larger 40.5kWh battery, delivering ARAI-certified ranges of 325km and 465km, respectively. In addition to the extended range, the electric SUV offers V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) and V2L (vehicle-to-load) charging capabilities. The MR version delivers 129bhp and 215Nm of torque, while the LR variant offers an even more robust 145bhp and 215Nm. Tata claims that the LR version of the new Nexon.ev can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 8.9 seconds and has a top speed of 150km/h. It comes with three driving modes – Eco, City, and Sport – along with a four-level brake regeneration system controlled via paddle shifters.
2023 Tata Nexon.ev Features, Interior
The interior updates of the new Tata Nexon.ev largely mirror those of the updated ICE Nexon. It features a redesigned dashboard with multiple textures and carbon-fiber-like trim. The top trim includes a generous 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation display, a new two-spoke illuminated steering wheel, and touch-based HVAC controls with toggle switches.
Additional offerings encompass connected car technology, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, fast charging type-C ports, an air purifier, JBL sound system, OTA updates, and more. Standard safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS, hill descent and ascent control, a blind-view monitor, front parking sensors, panic brake alert, all-wheel disc brakes, Isofix anchors, and three-point seat belts for all seats.
2023 Tata Nexon.ev Design Changes
Design-wise, the new Tata Nexon.ev draws inspiration from Tata’s Curvv concept. Key design highlights include a fresh front grille, a revised front bumper with sealed-off metallic strakes, LED DRLs displaying the charging status, newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels, an ‘EV’ badge on the tailgate, and full-width connected LED taillamps. These updates contribute to the SUV’s modern and captivating appearance.
