Supposed ‘alien corpses’ shown to Mexico’s Congress in testimony | Technology News

The “bodies of creatures” shown to Mexico’s congress on Tuesday seem to feature elongated heads, tiny bodies and three fingers. Mexican journalist and UFOlogist Jaime Maussan claims that the “remains” belong to actual aliens.

Maussan’s previous claims about aliens have proven false, but the journalist and self-proclaimed UFO expert testified to Mexican lawmakers on Tuesday, where he presented what he claimed were two ancient “non-human” alien corpses. He said they were retrieved in 2017 from Cusco in Peru and that radiocarbon dating revealed them to be up to 1,800 years old.

“These specimens are not part of the evolution of our world. They were not recovered from a UFO scrap. They were found fossilised in a diatom moss mine. We are not alone in the vast universe, we need to accept this reality” said Maussan while testifying under oath, according to Euro News. Maussan was reportedly accompanied at the session by former US Armed Forces pilot Ryan Graves and Avi Loeb, professor of astrophysics at Harvard University.

Graves also accompanied David Grusch while he testified to the United States Congress that the country was concealing a longstanding program that retrieves and reverse engineers unidentified flying objects of “non-human” origin. Loeb recently made dubious claims that he had found materials of interstellar origin in the ocean.

Maussan and some others have presented similar claims in the past, reports NPR. But at the time, scientists dismissed them as either ancient Peruvian mummies or manipulated mummies. Maussan was accompanied by a forensic expert and military doctor Jose de Jesus Zalce Benitez, a forensic expert and a military doctor. Benitez claimed thath the alleged alien bodies had big brains and big eyes for “stereoscopic vision” and that they lacked teeth.

During the session, Members of Congress were also shown videos of Mexican pilots trying to make sense of fast-moving flying objects in their vision.

While Maussan’s claims are interesting in their own regard, he has a history of making outrageous claims that were later debunked by scientists. There is a good chance that this is another one of his poorly verified attempts at showing signs of extraterrestrial life.

Meanwhile, the James Webb Space Telescope has identified what is arguably better evidence for the potential evidence of interstellar life. The telescope found signs of carbon dioxide and methane on the planet K2-18 bwhich is about 120 light-years away from us in the Leo constellation. The study also documents a possible detection of a molecule called dimethyl sulphide. On our planet, this is only produced by life. The majority of the dimethyl sulphide on Earth is emitted by phytoplankton in the oceans.
