Galaxy S23 FE shows off its colors and design in leaked official render

Last updated: September 15th, 2023 at 16:29 UTC+02:00

A promotional image for the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE has leaked, showcasing the overall design and the four color options the next Fan Edition smartphone will adopt. The render also offers a glimpse of the new purple color Samsung is said to be bringing back from the Galaxy S9 series.

The render (via MSPowerUser) confirms the Galaxy S23 FE name, the phone’s S23-esque design with flat panels and individual camera cutouts, and again, four color options: violet/purple, graphite, white, and lime/mint green.

The official names for these colors aren’t entirely clear, but regardless, the Galaxy S23 FE appears to have a glossy finish and metallic rings around the three rear-facing cameras that match the color of the back panel.

A cheaper alternative to the 2023 flagship phones

Although Samsung has yet to confirm availability and pricing details for the Galaxy S23 FE, we expect this device to cost more than the Galaxy A54 and less than the base Galaxy S23 model.

In essence, the Fan Edition device should be a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy S23. It’s expected to adopt a high-end chipset, just not from the current generation lineup, i.e., an Exynos 2200 and/or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

Other specs may include a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 128 and 256GB storage options, a 4,500mAh battery, and a 50MP + 8MP (ultrawide) + 12MP (telephoto) camera combo.

Samsung may release the Galaxy S23 FE before the end of the year, but some markets might get the device later in Q1 2024. Aside from this leaked render, earlier today, the Korean company also accidentally listed the Galaxy S23 FE on the Spanish Samsung Pay portal, confirming the phone’s name and compatibility with the mobile payment platform. Needless to say, the more leaks we encounter, the more it feels like Samsung is getting ready for the phone’s release, which should be getting pretty close by now.
