Last month, Samsung announced the 85-inch version of The Terrace Full Sun TV (QN85LST9C) in the US. It opened pre-orders for the new TV in the country. Now, the TV has finally gone on sale, and it costs a whopping $19,999.99, making the 85-inch The Terrace Full Sun TV the costliest outdoor TV from the company. Samsung also sells this TV in 65-inch and 75-inch screen sizes. It also sells Partial Sun models of The Terrace TV in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch display sizes.
The Samsung 85” Class The Terrace Full Sun TV features an 84.5-inch Neo QLED panel, which is Samsung’s term for the Mini LED technology. The display has a 4K resolution, a 120Hz variable refresh rate, and support for HDR10+. Although the company hasn’t provided any information on the maximum brightness of the TV, the brand claims that it has “Ultra bright Picture Quality” that is “Outdoor Optimized.” As for the audio, there are four speakers in a four-channel audio setup with a total sound output of 40W.
Since this TV is targeted towards outdoor usage, it has an IP56 rating for dust and water resistance. According to Samsung, “the panel is protected up to 6 hours in sunlight at 700 watts and 104 degrees Fahrenheit.” There’s also an anti-reflection coating on the display to limit light distraction and reduce glare from direct sunlight.
The 85-inch The Terrace Full Sun TV runs on Tizen OS and supports Alexa and Google Assistant. Connectivity options include 3x HDMI 2.1 ports, 1x USB Type-A port, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2. It also features SmartThings Hub, Samsung Gaming Hub, Samsung TV Plus, Bixby, Tap View, Tap Sound, Smart View, and AirPlay 2.
