Special planning to prevent encroachment
Dr. Parihar said that even before the beginning of the fair, cattle herders illegally encroach on roadsides around Diwali. This leads to encroachment on the road and commuters have to face problems. On this day, the District Collector formally starts the fair by hoisting the flag at the fair stadium. Sports and animal competitions and colorful cultural programs start from this day. Under the third and final phase, the religious fair starts on Dev Uthani Ekadashi. The five-day religious fair concludes with a great bath held on the occasion of Kartik Purnima.

There will be three types of letters in the fair
- Red letter: This letter is the registration of the animal. Information about the animal is given in it.
- White letter: This letter is a sale deed. In this, the signatures of the cattle farmers buying and selling the animals are there. The breed of the animal is also written in it.
- Ravanna: The third important letter is Ravanna. The details of the animals that will be sold in this fair will be released in it. Its number comes after the sale deed i.e. white letter. Only after showing this ravenna will the buyer be able to take the animal out.

This departure fee is decided by the Animal Husbandry Department.
