Chhattisgarh: A 93-year-old man will vote for the first time thanks to the initiative of election officials. The reason for that is that his name was included in the voter’s list recently.

Raipur: A rare development has taken place in Chhattisgarh as the assembly elections are approaching. A 93-year-old man registered his vote for the first time in Bhainsakanhar village of Kankar, a Naxal-affected district. With that, he will exercise his right to vote for the first time in the upcoming assembly elections. (vote for first time)

Officials went to the house of 93-year-old Sher Singh Hedko as part of a door-to-door campaign organized by the district administration to include those who are eligible but not in the voter list. He was surprised to know that till now he did not have the right to vote. It seems that Singh’s name was not included until now because of errors in the documents he submitted for the right to vote. Now all the processes have been completed and his name has been added. The family members said that after knowing about this, they are excited to vote for Hedco. But he said that due to his age he is not able to speak properly.
