Hero MotoCorp has recently introduced the Karizma XMR, featuring an entirely new platform and engine, coupled with a contemporary design and an array of modern features. Initially priced at Rs 1.72 lakh, the bike has seen a price increase to Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
In intriguing news, there are indications that the upcoming 2024 Hero XPluse may come equipped with the new Karizma’s engine, based on recent sightings. The Karizma XMR is powered by a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, delivering 25.5bhp at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7,250rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It could also feature a slip-and-assist clutch akin to the one found in the Karizma XMR.

Looks like Hero is testing the bigger Xpulse somewhere in the mountains. The project will go sometime next year and we cannot wait to see it in flesh!

If the new Hero XPluse 210 indeed adopts the Karizma XMR’s engine, it would mark the second Hero motorcycle to feature a liquid-cooled motor. While the spotted test mule bears a resemblance to the current model, significant design changes are expected. The existing model boasts a round LED headlight with the ‘H’ insignia, an elevated front beak, knobby dual-purpose tires, and a long-travel suspension.
Alongside the new XPulse 210, a test mule of the new Hero Xtreme 210 was also spotted. This bike appears to share the Karizma XMR’s exhaust and may also share its engine with the XPulse 210 sibling. The prototype of the new Xtreme 210 exhibits a heavily camouflaged headlamp assembly, a sculpted fuel tank with muscular shrouds, LED turn indicators, alloy wheels, road-biased tires, a split seat, and a wide handlebar.
While an official launch date for the new Hero XPluse 210 is yet to be announced, it is anticipated to make its debut in 2024. Additionally, the indigenous motorcycle manufacturer is planning to introduce a new 440cc motorcycle early next year, which will be based on the Harley-Davidson X440, sharing its platform, design elements, features, and engine with its donor sibling.
