This is yet another example of how criminals seem to be gaining influence within the YSRCP. Earlier, the YSRCP had announced the suspension of MLC Ananth Babu, who had been released on bail after serving time in a murder case involving the death of Dalit youth and driver Subrahmanyam.
However, Ananth Babu’s attendance at the YCP meeting organized by CM Jagan on Tuesday has sparked discussions. There are comments suggesting that CM Jaganmohan Reddy, who has already been under scrutiny for various actions, has once again drawn the attention of the media.
It’s worth noting that on May 25, 2022, the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli issued a press release stating that MLC Ananth Babu had confessed his involvement in the death of driver Subrahmanyam. This suspension announcement occurred six days after the murder. Subsequently, there was no official statement about the lifting of Ananth Babu’s suspension.
Now, with the elections approaching, Ananth Babu’s presence at the meeting organized by CM Jagan with the top leaders of YCP has become a subject of discussion. Photos of Ananth Babu seated between Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan and Perni Nani have circulated in the media.
