Explosion in Pakistan Live Updates: Multiple blasts rocked two Pakistan provinces Friday killing at least 58 people and injuring over 110 others. According to local media report, at least 54 people were killed and over 100 injured in a suspected suicide blast in the Balochistan province in southwestern Pakistan. Hours later, in a suicide blast inside a mosque, at least four people were killed and 12 others injured in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakthunkhwa province.
In Balochistan’s Mastung district, the blast took place near Madina Mosque on Al Falah Road, where devotees had gathered to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad. The explosion occurred as a procession was being carried out in connection with Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations, Pakistan media house Dawn said in a report. Local cops told Dawn that Mastung’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nawaz Gashkori was among those killed. The suspected suicide bomber reportedly detonated the device near the on-duty police official’s car while the latter was inside it.
