The overall occupancy of Fukrey 3 was at 19.69 per cent. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and helmed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, who also directed the first two films. Fukrey 3 is the third film in the comedy franchise, following Fukrey and Fukrey Returns, which made Rs 49 crore and Rs 112 crore worldwide, respectively. Fukrey Returns, which was released in 2017, it had a comparable opening to Fukrey 3, making Rs 8.10 crore on its opening day.

Fukrey 3 was released alongside Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine Warstarring Nana Patekar in the lead role. Unfortunately, the film didn’t perform well at the box office, collecting only Rs 85 lakhs on both its first and second days. Fukrey 3 is not only contending with The Vaccine War but is also facing competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. On its 23rd day of release, Jawan managed to earn over Rs 5 crore at the box office. Additionally, the makers of the film have introduced a ‘buy one get one free’ ticket scheme starting from September 28.

The Indian Express film Alaka Sahani gave Fukrey 3 two stars. A part of the review read, “Fukrey stays true to its slapstick tone that draws heavily from scatological humour. Is it lazy writing, taking the easy route to tickle the funny-bone? The occasional departures from logic and believability, though downright silly, curiously manages to elicit laughter.”
