Installed a Bobo BM4 phone-mount on my Triumph Speed 400

Added a Bobo BM4 phone mount after much contemplation and reading a lot of paranoia inducing posts about vibrations and theft

Ok, made some changes/additions. Thought I’d share with people here.

1. Added a Bobo BM4 phone mount after much contemplation and reading a lot of paranoia inducing posts about vibrations and theft. I didn’t want a tank bag and I don’t use earphones in my helmet. Also, I don’t really need to park my bike in unfamiliar/unsafe locations so stuck to this well built mount

Speed400 tip 1 :The included mounting hardware isn’t an exact fit. The dia of the handlebar is on the higher side and using the brown tape thing will make it even larger so the mount won’t fit. I had to jerry-rig some teflon tape and masking tape to help protect the bar and then it was mounted on. I also chose to go with the horizontal style and placed it “under” the handlebar to protect it from wind gusts. It looks very nice, protects the bike and also the mobile at the same time.

2. Removed the saree guard: I didn’t like how it looked and it got very dirty when the roads were slushy. All it took was one 6mm Allen key to remove the bolt on the top and a wrench to remove the two bolts under the swingarm. Looks better now although I feel the picture I took doesn’t do it justice.

I also noticed that the guard is quite heavy, probably because they had to make it stiff since it has only 2 mounting points.
