Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the caste census of Bihar has shown that OBC + SC + ST are 84% there. Among the 90 secretaries of the Central Government, there are only 3 OBCs, who handle only 5 percent of India’s budget. Therefore it is important to know the caste statistics of India. The more the population, the more rights, this is our pledge.

Let us tell you that Bihar government has released the caste based census report. It states that Other Backward Castes (OBC) and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) constitute 63 percent of the state’s population.

Earlier, CM Nitish Kumar wrote on Twitter that today on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the data of caste based census conducted in Bihar has been published. Many congratulations to the entire team engaged in the work of caste based enumeration. The proposal for caste based enumeration was passed unanimously in the Legislature. A meeting of 9 parties of Bihar Assembly will be called soon regarding the caste based census conducted in Bihar. They will be informed about the results of caste based census.
