Now IIT students will wear Khadi and brand it. The first Khadi outlet is going to open in IIT Delhi campus on Monday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. After IIT Delhi, such Khadi outlets will be opened in other IITs and universities including IIT Bombay.

With the aim of making Khadi recognized as a brand among the youth, Khadi India is opening an outlet in IIT. Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Manoj Kumar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has been given a shape in Amritkal. India is a country of youth, that is why a special range of garments has been prepared focusing on the youth on the theme ‘Modern Khadi of New India’.

To make Khadi a brand of youth, top designers of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) have prepared special fabrics and designs based on their choice and market demand. In this, kurta-pajama, suit etc. will also reflect Indianness on western look.

Khadi has also tested these specially designed garments based on the youth in fashion shows and surveys. To reach the Khadi brand among the youth, the first outlet of Khadi in the country has been prepared in the IIT Delhi campus.

It will look something like Fab India. Shampoos and creams etc. for clothes will also be available here. The first outlet of Khadi is being opened from IIT Delhi campus on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
