Hero MotoCorp has announced that the deliveries for the newly launched Harley-Davidson X440 will commence on the auspicious first day of the Navratri festive, i.e., 15th October 2023. The Harley’s most affordable motorcycle is being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s manufacturing facility at Neemrana, Rajasthan.
Hero MotoCorp has been organizing test rides for pre-booked customers since 1st September 2023. The new booking window for the new Harley-Davidson X440 will open from 16th October, and customers can book the new motorcycle at all Harley-Davidson dealerships and select Hero MotoCorp outlets across the country. Customers can also book the new motorcycle online at the official Harley-Davidson website.
The new Harley-Davidson X440 has received over 25,000 bookings within just a month. Hero MotoCorp had to temporarily close the online booking window to cater to the first set of customers. It is available in 3 variants – Denim, Vivid and S – priced at Rs 2,39,500, Rs 2,59,500 and Rs 2,79,500 respectively.
Powering the new Harley X440 is a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that produces 27bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 38Nm at 4,000rpm. The motorcycle has a chain drive as we have seen in the Harley Pan America. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. For suspension duties, the motorcycle gets 43mm USD front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, the motorcycle gets disc brakes and dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The X440 rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wrapped with MRF tyres.
