There will be no opening ceremony in the ODI World Cup 2023. BCCI sources told Bhaskar on the condition of anonymity that this time there will be no opening ceremony of the World Cup. Captain’s Day Ceremony or Parade is to be held on 4th October. This will happen as per the pre-determined programme. This ceremony will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

According to reports, there will definitely be a closing ceremony in the tournament. Apart from this, a special event will also be hosted before the match between India and Pakistan. Its complete information has not been revealed.

According to BCCI sources, there was no plan for the opening ceremony. Therefore, the question of canceling it does not arise.

The opening ceremony was to be held on October 4.
