Every successful actor has a couple of films that become iconic because of the characters he played in them.
Mass Maharaj has played many characters in his films over the years which have become synonymous with his name. But if one has to choose a character played by Ravi Teja that has become iconic or cult over the years, then it has to be Vikram Rathore from Vikramarkudu in 2006.
Though many actors like Akshay Kumar or Sudeep tried to recreate the magic of Vikram Rathore in other languages, none could match the performance given by Ravi Teja.
Ravi Teja is now coming up with a film, Tiger Nageswara Rao, that has the potential to become as memorable as Vikram Rathore.
The trailer of Tiger Nageswara Rao was unveiled yesterday and it has received good response from all over. Despite a few hiccups like poor VFX shots in some scenes, the overall trailer leaves us asking for more.
Going by the trailer, it seems like director Vamsee has worked hard on writing Ravi Teja’s role. The grey shades are going to give his character an exciting arc.
Ravi Teja’s character is hungry for power, he is greedy for women and has a lust for money. The Indira Gandhi twist that is shown in the last shot of the trailer is also very intriguing. These are such interesting traits and if executed well, we might see Ravi Teja giving one of the most memorable performances of his career.
The film also has a solid star cast comprising Anupam Kher, Jishhu Sengupta, Nasser, Hareesh Peradi, Sudev Nair, and others. The film looks technically also much better than Ravi Teja’s last few films. The BGM, cinematography, color grading, and production design, all look top-notch.
So it would be interesting to see if Ravi Teja delivers another career-defining performance as the wild, raw, and brutal Tiger Nageswara Rao, 17 years after Vikramarkudu.
