Customers will be able to book the new 2023 Tata Safari from 6th October onwards – launch scheduled in the coming weeks.
After introducing the new Nexon, Tata Motors is now ready to give a mid-life update to its two popular mid-sized SUVs – the Harrier and the Safari. The company has released multiple teasers highlighting the styling and interior details of the new SUVs. The latest teaser reveals the redesigned rear profile of the 2023 Tata Safari.
Similar to the front profile, which has a width-spanning LED DRL strip, the rear profile of the updated Safari gets connected LED tail-lights with a welcome function. The SUV comes with a revised tailgate to accommodate newly styled tail-lamps. Tata Motors has also updated the rear bumper design, which now accommodates a more prominent silver skid plate and new trapezoidal housings on both sides.
The company hasn’t release any details about the cabin of the new Harrier. The previous spy images reveal that the 2023 Tata Safari will sport a restyled multi-layered dashboard dominated by a new free standing touchscreen infotainment screen. It will sport new centre console layout with a new touch panel for multiple controls including air conditioning system.
The 2023 Tata Safari will be equipped with a bigger all-digital instrument console and a new 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. The SUV is also expected to receive an updated version of the ADAS tech. It is likely to get features like lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
The Safari facelift will retain the existing 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 170PS and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. It is also expected to receive a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that debuted at the 2023 Auto Expo. This powertrain belts out 170PS and 280Nm of torque.
Interested buyers will be able to pre-book the new Safari and Harrier facelift online or at authorised dealerships from October 6, 2023. The prices of the new model are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, during Navratri.
