Anil Ravipudi’s ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ trailer featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna has been released, and it marks an unusual departure from the typical expectations associated with Balayya.
The trailer prominently focuses on the core storyline and drama, with a notable shift away from Balakrishna’s usual over-the-top mass action and heavy dialogue delivery. It appears that the film aims to convey a genuine story and subtle emotions through its characters.
In general, the trailer seems to align with the current trend of what audiences expect from senior heroes. The recent blockbuster ‘Jailer’ worked for this very same reason. However, the trailer may not significantly raise expectations for the film, as it heavily emphasizes dialogue and drama, revealing very little about mass action. While Thaman’s background score does the job, it’s not something that one will rave about.
The success of ‘Bhagavanth Kesari now hinges on Anil Ravipudi’s ability to engage the audience with a fresh take on Balakrishna in a fatherly role and the inclusion of the highly popular heroine Sreelela as his daughter.
If director Anil Ravipudi successfully delivers the mass action sequences on par with those in ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and captures the emotions from the Balayya and Sreelela combination, he will have a winner in hand.
