Now A Movie Approaches Court To Witheld Reviews

Worrying about reviews is the biggest thing for some filmmakers though some filmmakers get hugely benefitted by them. While the audience is someone who would watch a film in theatres irrespective of the reviews if the content of the movie is engaging. But then, filmmakers are now choosing the legal path to stop reviewers from reviewing their movies. Here’s another example.

The makers of a Malayali movie titled #AromalinteAadhyathePranayam have now knocked on the doors of the Kerala High Court, seeking an order that prevents reviewers from reviewing their movie for the first seven days from the date of the release. They have filed a plea in which they sought that a gag order be issued to ensure even influencers and vloggers don’t publish video reviews or opinions regarding the movie on social media pages. Also, the makers sought the Centre to frame guidelines that refrain reviewers in a way their verdicts won’t affect the film industry badly.

Well, is it really possible to control the word of mouth that is being spread by the audience and can’t they control the public talk? Rather than focusing on making quality films that have engaging screenplay and lively presentation of stories on the silver screens, restricting reviewers would further affect the movies. Let’s see what happens.
