Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+ in India. These are Samsung’s cheapest Android tablets, and both of them now complete Samsung’s tablet lineup for the year, complementing the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. The Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+ bring some really good upgrades.
Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ pricing in India
The Galaxy Tab A9 is priced at INR 12,999 ($156) for the 64GB version with Wi-Fi and INR 15,999 ($192) for the 5G version. The Galaxy Tab A9+ starts at INR 20,999 ($252) for the version with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The version with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and 5G connectivity is priced at INR 22,999 ($276).
Both tablets are available in Dark Blue, Gray, and Silver colors. Samsung is offering INR 3,000 ($36) cashback if the Galaxy Tab A9+ is purchased using an SBI credit or debit card.

Now, let us take a look at what these new tablets offer. Starting with the Galaxy Tab A9, it has an 8.7-inch LCD screen with WQXGA (1,340 x 800 pixels) resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. It has a dual-speaker setup featuring an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and a 2MP front-facing camera.
It comes equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, a microSD card slot, and a 5,100mAh battery. The 4G version of the tablet has a physical SIM card slot and an eSIM, so you can use it in dual-SIM mode. It has GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port with 15W fast charging.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ has an 11-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) resolution and an AKG-tuned quad-speaker setup (stereo mode). It has an 8MP rear-facing camera with autofocus and a 5MP front-facing camera.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 processor, 4GB/8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, and a microSD card slot. It comes in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+5G versions. It has GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 7.040mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
Both tablets run Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 out of the box and will get at least two Android OS updates.
