TDP is embarking on a new political experiment in YS Jagan’s native district of Kadapa. Reportedly, TDP President Chandrababu Naidu has planned to field young candidates in 5 out of the total 10 Assembly segments in Kadapa for the 2024 general elections. New faces will appear as TDP nominees in Kadapa, Proddutur, Jammalamadugu, Railway Koduru, and Badwel.
Ameer Babu had previously contested from the Kadapa Assembly segment as a TDP nominee. This time, TDP has chosen Madhavi Reddy, the wife of TDP Politburo member Srinivasulu Reddy, to be in charge of the Kadapa Assembly segment.
Linga Reddy is set to contest from the Proddutur Assembly segment, and Varadarajulu Reddy is also vying for the Proddutur seat. TDP has overlooked two senior candidates and instead confirmed the ticket for Praveen Kumar Reddy, the son of Varadarajulu Reddy.
There seems to be no competition for the Jammalamadugu TDP ticket, with Bhupesh Reddy confirmed during Lokesh’s Yuvagalam event in the Jammalamadugu segment. A young engineering graduate, Roshanna, is almost certain to contest as the TDP nominee from Badwel. In Railway Kodur, three young individuals are competing for the TDP ticket. With these moves, TDP is conducting an experiment in Kadapa district.
