In fact, Suzuki has shared the first look of the upcoming Swift concept that is scheduled to make its public debut at the Japan Mobility Show which is set to happen on October 26. In this article, we talk about key details about the upcoming new gen 2024 Maruti Swift –
Design Changes
The new Suzuki Swift concept reveals the possible styling of the new-gen model. The new model retains the original styling or silhouette; however, it has received some significant design changes. The 2024 Maruti Swift comes with a sharper front fascia, featuring an all-new LED headlamps and a slightly smaller, aggressive grille.
The overall profile seems identical to the outgoing model; however, it will have conventional door handles instead of the C-pillar mounted door handles. The hatchback also comes with a set of new alloy wheels. At the back, the 2024 Swift gets new tailgate design that houses inverted C-shaped LED tail-lights. It also feature black bumper inserts. The concept looks close to production, and we believe the production model will retain the original styling.
Baleno-inspired Interior
The 2024 Maruti Swift comes with an all-new dashboard layout similar to the new breed of Maruti models including the Fronx crossover, Grand Vitara, and the Baleno hatchback. The new gen Swift concept features a new dual-tone black/white interior scheme. The hatchback comes fitted with a flat-bottom steering wheel, toggle switches for climate controls, and analogue dials.
It is clearly evident that the 2024 Suzuki Swift concept gets a new 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The hatchback comes with analogue dials with multi-info display, automatic climate control, keyless entry, and push-button start-stop. The hatchback will come with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, reverse parking camera, and others. The concept will also come equipped with multiple ADAS tech with features like autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, automatic high beam assist and others.
New Powertrain
Suzuki has not revealed the engine specifications of the upcoming Swift hatchback. If reports are to be believed, the 2024 Suzuki Swift will receive a hybrid powertrain. The Japanese automaker in a statement reveals that the brand’s emphasis on a “high-efficiency engine that strikes a balance between driving performance and fuel efficiency.”
If reports are to be believed, the 2024 Maruti Swift could get a 1.2-litre petrol engine with Toyota’s strong hybrid tech. This engine is expected to return a certified fuel economy of over 35kmpl. The current India-spec model is likely to get a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 89PS and 113Nm of torque. Transmission choices could include a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The engine is also available with an optional CNG kit.
