The latest Google Chrome Canary update shows off the redesigned new tab page that will soon be available to Android users. The revamped New Tab page for Android was visible in Chrome Canary (build version 120). The update brings on board some elements of the Google app available for Galaxy smartphones and other Android devices.

The redesigned New Tab page in the Google Chrome Canary gets a larger search bar. Moreover, it separates the most-viewed pages in a box with rounded corners. The page background gets dynamic colors, meaning it will pick up the dominant color of your background. Currently, Google is experimenting with a white or dynamic-colored search bar, and users will also find two rows of page labels or a single-line carousel.

According to the information on the Google News Telegram Channel, the new redesign is intended to enhance user interactions and make the popular web browser more visually appealing as well as modern. For users who wish to enjoy the new changes, you can enable the Surface Polish flag in the stable version of Chrome, which just got updated to v118.

However, do note that the Surface Polish flag (chrome://flags/#enable-surface-polish) will enable the early design with a square and low-contrast search bar on version 118. You can enjoy the new design, but for that, you need to download Chrome Canary. There is no confirmed date as to when the Google Chrome browser will get the redesigned new tab page on the stable version.
