YSR Congress ecosystem massaged its ego by arresting Chandrababu Naidu in a flimsy case. While they have doubts over the sympathy factor, they believe TDP will be severely hampered by Naidu’s arrest, especially with elections just six months away.
They are now shifting their focus to the Kamma community.
After 2014, Jagan tried to alienate the Kamma community by creating hatred in other communities. He continued the same after coming to power as well.
YSR Congress ecosystem now believes that the Kamma community will unite through its weight behind Chandrababu Naidu and Telugu Desam Party in the 2024 elections.
Kamma and Reddy communities are minorities population-wise but they are prominent due to the influence they have in terms of power in the villages and towns. Also, both communities are strong because of their financial muscle.
YSR Congress believes that the Kamma Community will do everything possible to help TDP win 2024.
Contrary to popular belief, the Kamma community is never completely pro-TDP. Before the emergence of TDP, Kamma leaders were in communist parties as well.
During the Congress Vs TDP time, a good percentage of Kammas are with Congress.
This is in complete contrast to where a majority of Reddys were with Congress initially and later with YSR Congress.
Jagan initially targeted Chandrababu Naidu, TDP, and Amaravati using the Kamma propaganda. They tried to portray the community as a villain to the other communities and the society as a whole.
The realization came late in 2019. Even after coming to power, nothing changed. Even a rebel like KCR took settlers along with him but Jagan did not change.
After Chandrababu’s arrest, the attack on the Kamma community became severe as the YSR Congress believed all those protesting for the Former CM were Kammas.
So, the arrest works as a catalyst for the already enraged community.
At this juncture, Blue Media has shifted its focus to the Kamma Community rather than Chandrababu. There are vicious stories about the Kamma community day in and day out as they fear polarization of the community.
