The movie Jersey was released in 2019 under the direction of young director Gautham Tinnanuri with natural star Nani as the hero and Shraddha Srinath as the heroine. Made as a good love, action emotional entertainer, this movie was successful at the box office. This movie produced by Suryadevara Nagavanshi Grand Level under Sitara Entertainments banner was later remade in Hindi and received success there as well.
As part of the teaser launch event of the latest Nani-starrer Hi Nanna movie, Nani answered a reporter’s question about whether Jersey and Shyam Singharai movies were both successful but failed to break even and became cast failures.
He said that in fact Jersey movie earned five times more than the investment and non-theatrical revenue like OTT rights got a lot for that movie. But recently producer Nagavanshi responded to this through his social media accounts. He said that Jersey movie was not only memorable but also brought good profits. It is known that the movie also won the National Award for Best Feature Film.
