Why I think the Lucid Air EV is better than a Tesla model 3

It is definitely way better than the Model S. The choice of materials and elegant interior design put it, in my opinion, ahead of the Quirky EQE and on-par with the classy i5.

BHPian 14000rpm recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Last week I was in Munich for the Oktoberfest and one of those days felt like a car dealer hopping days. I bumped into a Fisker dealership when I was on my way to meet a friend at a coffee shop which, coincidentally, was opposite to a Lucid Studio in Munich. Did not know that Lucid was already selling in Europe until then. About time I’d say. I love the elegant styling of a Lucid Air. It is, no doubt, a higher quality product to its direct competitor – the Model S and of course, now the EQE and the i5.

Bottomline – it is definitely way better than the Model S. The choice of materials and elegant interior design put it, in my opinion, ahead of the Quirky EQE and on-par with the classy i5. Just my opinion. yours could be different.

The curvy dashboard is really well integrated with the center screen. The choice of fabrics and materials for the seats, doorpads and dashboard are all spot-on.

While the seating position in the front is great, the one reason I would never buy a Lucid Air is the rear seat. Knees go really high and feet don’t get much space under the front seat to tuck into making this an uncomfortable place to be. I’d hate it as much as I hate the Model S rear seat.

After all this, I will still root for Lucid since I am looking forward to see how the Gravity SUV will turn out. The interiors, the materials etc. will be very similar to the Air.

I am far away from making a car-switch and more so to an EV. But when I do make the jump to EV’s, the Gravity will be one that I will look out to.

Unlike Fisker’s fast paced expansion, Lucid is being slow. Atleast the staff had no idea about Nordic expansion plan. He is too eager to sell one right away and was ok to deliver to Finland from Germany.

Eager Beaver me says. The taxation etc. works differently from country to country even with Europe and he was under-informed. Also, I felt a little bit of Brown skin profiling I felt until he got to know what car I currently drive. I let it pass.
