Galaxy A52s has joined One UI 6.0 beta testing

The Galaxy F23 joining the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta program last week was a big surprise, but it also signaled that Samsung is willing to accept many more low-cost devices to the early stages of One UI 6.0 testing.

Moments ago, we found out that the Galaxy M23 5G — which is the M-branded equivalent of the F23 — also gained access to the One UI 6.0 beta. But that’s not the end of the story.

Samsung is now welcoming the Galaxy A52s to the One UI 6.0 beta program. Invitations have been sent through the Samsung Members app to Galaxy A52s users in South Korea. Other markets could join soon.

One UI 6.0 beta for the Galaxy A52s was a long time coming

Samsung more or less confirmed that the Galaxy A52s will receive the One UI 6.0 update when we found evidence that the company is testing the firmware on its servers. This happened last during the summer, but at that time, there was no way to be sure that Samsung would also invite the Galaxy A52s to beta testing.

The benefit of running a beta program before a public One UI release is that the stable build will potentially be more bug-free and polished once it hits the waves.

One UI 6.0 represents a fairly big change, as it redesigns numerous aspects of the UI, from the typeface and Quick Panel area to widgets and apps. Samsung is expected to release One UI 6.0 for devices like the Galaxy S23 series before the end of 2023. There are no official timeframes, and whether the Galaxy A52s will get stable Android 14 this year or the next is to be determined.
