“Bhagwant Kesari” is the first film released by Tollywood as a gift this Dussehra. Nandamuri Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna as hero, Kajal as heroine, young heroine Srileela in an important role, directed by director Anil Ravipudi, this film has been released now amid solid buzz. And let’s see in the review whether this film meets the expectations.

Story:

Coming to the story… Nelakonda Bhagwant Kesari (Nandamuri Balakrishna) is trying to get his non-daughter Vijji Vijayalakshmi (Srilila) into the army and make her a strong woman in this world. And a drug mafia leader Rahul Sanghvi (Arjun Rampal) who wants to be number 1 in the world comes into their lives and commits a crime. By doing this, he threatens Vizzi’s life and what does Bhagwant Kesari do when Vizzi, who has become the life of his life, comes into his life? What is the relationship between Bhagwant Kesari and Vijji? If Rahul Sanghvi has any flash back before Bhagwant Kesari, then we have to watch this film on the silver screen.

Plus Points:

If there are any first impressions in the film, it must be Balayya’s latest makeover and young actress Srileela’s role. We may have seen them in many roles till now, but in Bhagwant Kesari, it seems that their roles are new to the audience and they have shown us a new aspect from both of them. Also, it must be said that director Anil Ravipudi has succeeded in presenting them like this.

And all the mass feast and treatment required by the masses including Balayya fans will also be new. The action sequences in the movie are very impressive. It should also be said that Balayya filled the role of Kesari very easily with his new demeanor in Telangana dialect. Balayya also cultivated emotions well. There are many emotions between Srileela and herself but their bonding as a father and daughter is beautiful to watch on screen.

Along with them, Hindi actor Arjun Rampal, who appeared in the villain role, impresses with his looks and attitude with solid villainy. Also, as a heroine, Kajal impresses with decent looks and acting to the extent of her role. Finally, a crazy climax sequence on Srileela and Balayya is solid. From Srilila, who works only for looks to dance for so many days, she has given a natural performance in the range that she can do a solid action flick with her. Also, a small message designed by director Anil towards women in the society is also good.

Minus Points:

The most disappointing aspect of this film is the actual story that runs in this film, but many sequences, emotions already seem like we have seen in many films. Some of the emotions on Srilila’s hero flashback are very routine. Also, in many action sequences, they seem to be a bit over the top.

Also, the heroine Kajal’s role does not have much scope. Also, the run time of the movie is also long and some unnecessary scenes have to be cut. It also seems that some sequences have been inserted. Also there is no logic in the movie. Also comedy is not that much of a workout at some places.

Technical category:

It can be said that Shine Screen’s production values in this film are outstanding. The makers of this movie have made it grander. And in the technical team, we have to say for Thaman, the back bone of the film. He took his track record with Balayya to another level with this movie. Also his songs are good. C Ram Prasad’s visuals are good. But the graphics are not really good. Tammiraju’s editing should be better.

And when it comes to director Anil Ravipudi, he seems to have come out of the comedy track of his previous films and made this complete mass film. There is no problem here and there but he has led a very routine plot and screenplay. Most of the scenes and dialogues are as we have already said. However, despite the routine, he has succeeded in highlighting the elements that Balayya fans want for the mass audience.

Verdict:

Overall, in this “Bhagwant Kesari”, Balayya and Srilila are treated with some new and unexpected elements in their respective mass roles. Also, there is mass action in the movie but Balayya’s dialogues are all liked by the fans. Also Srileela’s surprise pack in the climax can surprise her fans. But apart from the routine plot and a few scenes here and there, this film will entertain the audience of all sections.
