Anil Kapoor to announce Mr India 2?

News18 Showsha has learnt that Anil Kapoor removing his Instagram posts and profile picture has a connection with Mr India 2.

Anil Kapoor has caught everyone’s attention after he removed all his posts and his display picture on Instagram. The actor, who will be seen in Animal, left fans and even his daughter Sonam Kapoor in shock with his move. While at first, it appeared as though it was a promotional stunt for his upcoming film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, a source told News18 Showsha exclusively that the move had a Mr India 2 connection.

“Anil Kapoor has gone ‘invisible’ on social media as a point to kick off Mr India 2. Like his character in Mr India (1987), he is going invisible on social media,” our source told us. When News18 Showsha reached out to Boney Kapoor, who had expressed his wish to make a sequel to the Anil Kapoor and Sridevi starrer earlier this year, the filmmaker said he is yet to see Anil’s Instagram profile and refuses to comment on Mr India 2 until everything falls in place.

“Let me see, I haven’t seen it myself. But he did mention to me that he wants to show me something,” he said, speaking about the changes made to Anil’s Instagram account. “I don’t think I will be able to talk about (Mr India 2’s announcement) until everything matures,” Boney added.

Anil Kapoor deletes all his posts on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Sonam reacted to Anil ‘deleting’ all his posts on Instagram. She shared a screenshot of the account on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Dad!!??”

For the unversed, Mr India was released in 1987 and was produced by Boney Kapoor. The film starred Anil Kapoor as a man who manages an orphanage and gains access to a watch that makes him invisible. The film also starred Sridevi, who played the role of a stern journalist. Directed by Shekhar Kapur, the film also starred Amrish Puri as Mogambo, Satish Kaushik as Calendar, Harish Patel as Roopchand, and Annu Kapoor as Editor Gaitonde. Mr India was a super hit.
