New Automatic Gearbox

According to a recent media report, the new XUV300 will receive a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox sourced from Aisin. This unit will replace the existing 6-speed AMT gearbox. With this new transmission, the subcompact SUV is expected to deliver an improved driving experience. However, the engine lineup will remain unchanged. The 2024 Mahindra XUV300 facelift will continue to offer the 1.2L turbo petrol, 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol, and 1.5L diesel engines, producing 110bhp, 131bhp, and 117bhp, respectively.

Segment-First Features

The XUV300’s mid-life update will bring a panoramic sunroof, a first in its segment. The most significant upgrade is expected to be the addition of ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology. This technology is already available in rivals like the Hyundai Venue and will soon be introduced in the Sonet subcompact SUV, which is also due for an update. Interior Enhancements

The new Mahindra XUV300 facelift will feature a revised and shorter gear selector for automatic gearboxes. The central AC vents will have slight differences, while the overall dashboard design will remain unchanged. However, the dashboard will receive a new finish. The 2024 Mahindra XUV300 will also come equipped with a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system offering the latest smartphone connectivity, a wireless phone charger, a digital driver’s display, and ventilated front seats.

Refreshed Looks

The new XUV300 facelift will draw design and styling inspiration from its elder sibling, the XUV700. In fact, it might incorporate elements from the Mahindra BE electric SUV concepts. What’s new in terms of design? The XUV300 will feature a two-part front grille, C-shaped LED headlamps inspired by the XUV700, a larger central air intake, newly-designed alloy wheels, a revised tailgate and rear bumper, new taillamps, and a repositioned license plate.
