Story:
All the people of Stewartupuram area live by thieving. Taking their hunger and needs as an opportunity, all the officials there use them according to their needs, rob them and suppress them. What kind of fight did Nageswara Rao (Ravi Teja) who grew up seeing all these things do?, what did he do for the welfare of the people of his Stewartupuram?, how did he transform from Stewartupuram Nageswararao to Tiger Nageswararao?, how did Nageswararao fall in love with Sara (Nupur Sanan) when he was of a mature age? ?, Finally, what developments took place in Tiger Nageswara Rao’s life?, Has Nageswara Rao achieved what he thought?, or ? That is the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
Based on the life story of Tiger Nageswara Rao, who dominated the reign of terror in Stuart Puram and gave life to his men, the story has huge action episodes, some emotions, as well as daring heist sequences and an impressive cast. The way Ravi Teja acted in this role as a challenge in his career is pleasing. Ravi Teja looked very fresh with new looks in this movie than his previous movies.
And Nupur Sanan, who played the heroine, impressed with her performance. At some places her gestures and her acting are good. Gayatri Bharadwaj who played another heroine also impressed. Renu Desai has played the role of Hemalatha Lavanam. Anupam Kher, Nassar and Murali Sharma have done full justice to their roles. Jissu Sengupta is very good in another important role. Also the rest of the actors have acted well in their role. Director Vamsi has shot some key scenes very well.
Minus Points:
Although the main content and Ravi Teja’s performance, mass elevations and action scenes in Tiger Nageswara Rao are good, the treatment seems very slow at some places. Along with this, it would have been better if director Vamsi had not compromised on the story. Especially in the second half, while there is scope to increase the suspense of what will happen next, the director has not made full use of that opportunity.
Also, a good effort was made to make the second half a bit emotional, but at some places it did not work out effectively on the screen. Also, it would have been better if the scenes had been shot keeping in mind the Nativity of that time when the story was going on in the 1970s-80s. Also, Elevations, where Tiger Nageswara Rao’s character was shown in the beginning, the director could not sustain the entire film. And the love scenes in the middle hindered the plot of the story.
Technical Department:
Director Vamsi has succeeded in taking a good story. But, in creating a thrilling story, he could not succeed in making it even more thrilling. And the work of the technical team who worked for the film is good. The technical work went on according to the scenes. The music provided by music director GV Prakash Kumar is impeccable. Otherwise, the background music provided by him is the highlight of the film. Editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao’s work is good. R. Madhi’s cinematography is also commendable. He has styled this film without diminishing the beauty anywhere. Abhishek Agarwal’s production values are good.
Verdict:
In this emotional action drama called Tiger Nageswara Rao.. Ravi Teja’s performance, mass elevations, huge action scenes and some deep emotions are impressive. However, things like slow screenplay, lag scenes and repeated scenes in the movie and some fake emotions are minuses for the movie. Overall only a few elements connect in this film.
