Fake Reviews Trend Exposed Again

Prasads Multiplex

Hyderabad’s most renowned cinema destination, Prasad’s Multiplex, has been witnessing an alarming trend where the ‘so-called’ self-proclaimed moviegoers and YouTubers share quick reviews of newly released films as they exit the multiplex.

This trend has gained significant attention on social media in the last few years. Notably, it has become commonplace for some film producers to strategically position these reviewers to generate positive buzz through these brief, impromptu reviews.

Yesterday, a YouTube channel posted a video where a person was sharing his positive review on a film released on Friday early in the morning at around 8 AM outside Prasad’s multiplex. This clip was shared on Twitter/X as well.

In a matter of minutes, the Prasad’s manager responded to the post, humorously noting, “The first show’s interval isn’t even over, and we already have people reviewing.”

Adding to the concrning trend, a similar scenario emerged recently, where a video showcased multiple individuals effusively praising the day’s movie release outside Prasad’s. The twist, however, is that Prasad’s was closed that day due to the Ganesh Nimarjan procession in Hyderabad.

This highlights concerns about the authenticity of these reviews and the YouTube channels involved, hinting that they may be strategically positioned to generate favorable reviews.
