A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Chennai Metro Rail Corporation and the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. Therefore, the Metro Rail service has been extended for the New Zealand-Bangladesh World Cup cricket match to be held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepakkam, Chennai today. Metro Rail service will operate daily till 11 pm. However, the metro rail service has been extended by one hour to 12 midnight for fans returning late at night after watching the cricket match today. You can travel free of charge by showing your match ticket while returning after the match. This offer is not available when going to the competition.
Blue Route: Government Gardens will be operated from Metro Station to Airport and Wimco Nagar Workshop Railway Station.
Green Route: Trains will run from Chennai Central Metro Railway Station to Parangimalai Metro Railway Station at an interval of 15 minutes.
Train services will not be operated for switching from Green Line to Blue Line between 11 PM and 12 PM tonight.
