Wagh Bakari ED Parag Desai Dies: Parag Desai, executive director of Wagh Bakri Group, passed away at a private hospital in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Desai was 49 years old. Parag was a fourth generation member of the Desai family. He was managing the company founded by Narandas Desai in 1892 for the past few years. According to information received, while saving his life from the attack of stray dogs, he fell down and hit his head, after which he was admitted to the hospital.
According to a report by Ahmedabad Mirror, Parag was attacked by some stray dogs in front of his residence. This time he was taken to a private hospital in Pralhadnagar area of Ahmedabad. As his condition worsened after 24 hours, he was shifted to another private hospital on Hebatpur Road. Immediate surgery was performed. Desai, who was on ventilator for seven days, deteriorated on Sunday late and later died.

Who was Parag Desai?
Parag and his cousin Paras Desai joined the family business in the 1990s. Parag, who holds an MBA from Long Island University in the US, was one of the two executive directors on the board of the Tiger Goat Tea Group. He was heading the company’s sales, marketing and exports.
During the tenure of Parag, who has more than 30 years of experience, the net worth of the company had reached more than 1500 crores. , Desai was part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) among other organizations.
