The ongoing war between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas further intensified on Monday with the latter claiming that over 5,000 people have been killed so far in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip. I made it clear from the outset of this crisis that humanitarian assistance was a critical and urgent need that had to get moving,” Biden said in an X post.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also called for ‘unhindered access’ for aid deliveries into Gaza.
