Ravi Teja pinned a lot of his hopes on Tiger Nageswara Rao which also marks his pan Indian debut. But the film is stuttering at the box office and one of the main complaints about the final product is the lengthy run-time.
In a promotional interview with Harish Shankar today, Ravi Teja took a dual stance on the run-time aspect.
“Editing a film like Tiger Nageswara Rao is tough. It has a packed run-time and we can’t remove even a minute from it. We went with the lengthy run-time because we had to” Ravi Teja said in the early stages of the interview.
Then, towards the end, he went for another stance as he said “Well, we have trimmed the film now and it has a much more racy vibe to it. The trimmed version should entertain the audience more”.
Ravi Teja’s dual tongue has now become a topic of discussion. He himself defended the lengthy run-time by saying they couldn’t trim the final theatrical cut as they deemed it fit, but later, he asked the audience to come to theaters now to watch the trimmed version which is more crisp.
A veteran and senior like Ravi Teja can’t be having such confused mindsets and that too on an important aspect like run-time. He should be more thoughtful about his films if he is to deliver successful ones, commented a netizen.
