Leaders Online Desk: At least 22 people were killed and more than 60 injured in a shooting late Wednesday night in Lewiston, Maine, USA. According to media reports, the suspected assailant has absconded after the incident and a search is on for him. Security officials said two photographs of the suspected attacker with a rifle were shared in a Facebook post and the public’s help was sought in identifying the suspect.

Lewiston is part of Androscoggin County and is about 56 km north of Portland, Maine’s largest city. At least 22 people were killed and more than 60 injured in a mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, United States late Wednesday night. The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office posted two photos of the shooting suspect on Facebook and said he was at large, Reuters reported. The medical center in Lewiston said in a statement that several people died in the shooting incident. The injured are also being treated.
