Karthik Ratnam, who gained recognition with C/o Kancherapalem and Narappa, is now ready to entertain the audience with Lingochcha. Directed by Anand Bada, the film hit the screens today. Let’s go into the review and see how it is.

Story:

This Lingocha movie was set in the old city of Hyderabad. It follows Shiva (Karthik Ratnam) and Noorjahan (Supyardi Singh) who like each other since childhood. But Noor Jahan suddenly goes to Dubai. But Shiva keeps waiting for her. After many years, Noorjahan returns to India. Again the couple falls in love with each other. But Noorjahan’s brother Anwar (Kunal Kaushik) stands in the way of their love. What challenges Shiva and Noorjahan face is the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

Karthik Ratnam has already impressed many people with his performance. He once again gave his best performance in this film. His natural performance as Shiva is very good. He acted very well in the emotional scenes in the climax.

Supyardi Singh impressed in the lady lead role. She did full justice to the character with her expressions and body language. Supyardi’s chemistry with Karthik Ratnam worked out well on screen. Some scenes in the first half are entertaining.

Minus Points:

The biggest minus to Lingocha is that it has an old story. Sounds like a familiar story. The main couple belonged to different religions, and the girl’s parents opposed their love. A movie like this needs a gripping screenplay. But Lingocha’s narrative is not so energetic. Sounds very boring.

First half was just ok, second half was boring as a whole. The conflict between hero and heroine is not correct. Even if the director chooses the topic well, it is not presented correctly. The character of the hero changes a lot in the second half. These can be handled better by the director.

From the start of the movie, the story moves very slowly. The editing team could have done a better job. The comedy scenes were not as good as expected. Moreover, the character of the heroine’s brother has been designed very well.

Technical Department:

Music director Bikaj Raj was impressed with Lingocha. The visuals in the movie are good, the old city is very well portrayed. Editing could have been better. Production values are good.

Director Anand Bada chose a routine story and narrated it boringly. The point of conflict is less impressive. Had he paid attention to this, the result would have been different. Even if the climax is decent, the audience will lose interest already.

Verdict:

Overall, Lingochcha is a boring romantic drama with an old story. The performance of Karthik Ratnam and Supyardi Singh who are the hero and heroines is impressive. But there is no interesting screenplay in this movie. Although the performances of the actors in the fuss half are good, the second half goes on with boring screenplay. Overall the movie is not very impressive.
