BARC released the ratings of Telugu News Channels for Week 42 of this year for AP and Telangana. In the 15+ age group category, NTV and TV9 are the Top 2 positions.
Telangana elections are around the corner and there is just one month to go.
TV9 has become a mouthpiece of BRS but its ratings were down. From 66.4 last week, it is down to 63.
At the same time, NTV maintained its first position by increasing from 77.1 to 78.2.
TV9 not grabbing the first position even when the election temper is high is something the management should really worry about. Also, a drop in the ratings in the same period should bother them.
Usually, Telangana Channel V6 used to be in third position but this week, TV5 sprang a surprise by grabbing that position.
V6 was pushed to fourth position. But there is not much change in the ratings of V6.
The channel got 28.6 last week and was down to 28.5, a marginal change. TV5 improved from 27.9 to 29.2.
