Manvi.A.26- A preliminary meeting was held on the planning of several special programs to celebrate the 50th Kannada Rajyotsav in a lavish manner with the collaboration of the taluk administration and various pro-Kannada organizations.
Tehsildar Raju Pirangi said in the preliminary meeting held as part of Kannada Rajyotsava in the hall of Tehsildar office of the town that on November 01 at 8.45 AM, after national flag hoisting, national anthem and singing of 5 Kannada songs, a portrait procession of Goddess Bhuvaneshwarima with various artistic troupes along with MLAs and dignitaries will be held from Basavavritta of the town to the dais in Tehsildar office premises. Honorable students who have obtained the highest marks in Kannada language and achievers in various fields, cultural programs will be held.Kannada language movies should be screened in cinemas for one month from Nov.1, namesakes should be in Kannada, shopkeepers of the town should open their shops in important circles of the town on Nov.1 by the municipality.
