TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu got interim bail in the skill development scam. The AP high court granted bail on health grounds, till November 24.
The court heard the arguments on both sides on Monday and reserved the judgment. The advocates arguing for Chandrababu Naidu told the court that Naidu requires bail as he has to undergo a health check up by his personal doctors. They told the court that Naidu had undergone cataract surgery for one eye three months ago and has to have it for the second eye this time.
Though the advocates for the CID told the court that the doctors from the government general hospital in Rajamahendravaram were conducting regular medical check ups in the jail. They also told the court that Chandrababu Naidu’s health was in good condition.
The court which reserved the judgment had on Tuesday granted bail. Justice Thallapragada Mallikharjuna Rao granted bail.
Meanwhile, the ACB court in Vijayawada is likely to give its judgment on the call data case on Tuesday. The advocates for Chandrababu Naidu have filed the petition seeking call data of the CID officials at the time of arrest of Chandrababu Naidu in Nandyal on September 9.
The advocates argued that the CID officials were in constant touch with some people outside. They alleged that it was with the ruling party leaders on the other side of the call. The ruling party leaders were giving directions to the CID officials while they were arresting Chandrababu Naidu.
It is to be seen how the court would respond to this case. Will it grant permission for the TDP advocates to have access to the mobile data of the CID officials or would reject it.
