The number of crimes on the Indian community in the USA have been on an alarming rise for the past few months and here is one such new incident involving a Khammam man.
As stated by Rammurthy, a Khammam native, his son Varun Raj (29) is pursuing MS in the US and is currently doing part-time jobs there. He is studying at a university in Indiana, USA.
Incidentally, he was stabbed by a stranger outside the gym while he was on his way home and was gravely injured in the incident. The onlookers called the police and they then rushed Varun to a nearby hospital.
The medical team performed an emergency surgery. Varun was reportedly stabbed in the head and he lost consciousness after the incident.
The police have detained the suspect and further investigation is underway now. The family members of Varun are panicking here after coming to know about the shocking incident.
Rammurthy has approached Telangana minister Puvvada Ajay, asking to help his son who is in danger in the USA.
