On the occasion of Atla Taddi or Karvachauth festival one should wake up before sunrise and bathe. After fasting, a mandapa should be set up in the east direction at home and worship Goddess Gauri. After offering incense, lamp and offerings, worship Lord Ganesha and recite Gauri stotram and shlokas. In the evening one should do moon darshan and again perform Gauri puja and offer 10 atlas as an offering. Ten atlas and ten kinds of fruits should also be offered as Vayanam to Muttaidhus.
