It is expected to offer a more spacious 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display. Select variants may come with a single-pane sunroof and front and rear center armrests along with a newly-designed center console. The 5-door Thar is likely to draw inspiration from the Scorpio N model lineup and may feature a choice of 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines. The turbo petrol unit is expected to deliver 200bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 370Nm to 380Nm. The diesel engine may offer two different power outputs: 172bhp with 370Nm (with a manual transmission) or 400Nm (with an automatic transmission) and 130bhp with 300Nm. Customers will have the option of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox for the SUV model lineup.
