YS Jagan Mohan Reddy successfully sent Chandrababu Naidu to jail and tried his level best to ensure Naidu did not get bail.
Jagan also tried to limit Chandrababu’s political activity by getting more bail conditions but even that did not go well.
Buzz in the political circles is that even Telangana CM KCR tried to help Jagan to create problems for Chandrababu’s Bail.
The Begumpet police have registered a case against Chandrababu Naidu’s rally for violating the election code. The case was filed based on a complaint by a sub-inspector, who stated that the rally caused serious traffic congestion and nuisance for two hours on Wednesday.
The case filed by police in other states is likely to confirm that the former Chief Minister indeed did a rally violating the court orders.
TDP argues that it is not a rally but just a road journey that is interrupted by Chandrababu’s supporters. The Government, however, says it is a rally violating the court order.
Since the case was filed in a state where Andhra Pradesh police do not have jurisdiction obviously that will add more weight to CID’s case against Chandrababu Naidu in the High Court.
KCR is of the opinion that TDP is helping Congress in the elections. They feel TDP withdrawing from the elections will help Congress. So, this seems to be some sort of revenge by KCR on Chandrababu.
But then, nothing has changed and the High Court did not impose any strict conditions on Naidu.
He was asked not to do political rallies and not to speak about the case.
