Looking For A Compact SUV?

Compact SUVs have gained significant popularity in India due to their competitive pricing and the value they offer to consumers. With a starting price as low as 6 lakhs, these vehicles are considered a cost-effective choice. Moreover, they boast low maintenance costs and are known for their reliability. The compact SUV segment in India is already crowded with models like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. In 2024, four new models are set to join this competitive space. Let’s take a closer look at these upcoming compact SUVs:

Kia Sonet, currently undergoing mid-life updates, is expected to hit the roads in the first quarter of 2024. The exterior of the updated model may feature revisions to the front grille, front bumper, headlamps, LED DRLs, and fog lamps. The side profile is likely to remain largely unchanged, with some cosmetic changes at the rear. Inside, the new Kia Sonet is expected to receive updated switchgear for HVAC controls, a digital instrument cluster similar to the Venue, and new brown-finished upholstery. While there are updates in the design and features, the engine setup is anticipated to remain unchanged.

Updated Mahindra XUV300

New 2024 Mahindra XUV300 facelift

Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to launch the updated version of its XUV300 compact SUV early in 2023. The updated model is expected to feature a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, replacing the existing 6-speed AMT gearbox. The 2024 Mahindra XUV300 is set to be the first car in its segment with a panoramic sunroof. It might also come equipped with ADAS tech and several new features. Minor changes to its design are also in the pipeline.

Toyota Taisor

Maruti Fronx Petrol

Toyota is set to launch a new sub-4-meter crossover or Coupe-SUV, likely to be called the Urban Cruiser Taisor. This model will be based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It is expected to have Toyota’s signature grille, new bumpers, new alloys, and distinctive lighting elements, giving it a unique appearance compared to its Suzuki counterpart. Inside the cabin, the Taisor will feature a new color scheme and upholstery. It will offer two engine options – a 100bhp, 1.0-liter Boosterjet petrol, and a 90bhp, 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated petrol. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be available.
