ODI World Cup 2023: An unexpected shock has come to the Indian team (Team India), which is defeating its opponents in a row in the World Cup. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is suffering from a knee injury, has been ruled out of the entire World Cup tournament. This matter was officially disclosed by BCCI on Saturday. Right-handed pacer Prasidh Krishna was selected in his place. The ICC Event Technical Committee also agreed to play Prasidh as Pandya’s replacement. Prasidh has played only 17 ODIs so far.
Pandya was injured in the World Cup match against Bangladesh in Pune. While bowling, his left leg was bent while blocking the ball. Pandya left the field in pain and did not come back to bowl after that. Hardik, who is currently recovering at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, missed the New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka matches.

The team management expected him to recover by the time of the final league stage match against the Netherlands on November 12. However, BCCI has selected Prashid for the World Cup squad in the background of taking more time for him to achieve fitness.
