6 Major Car Launches From Hyundai In Years To Come

Hyundai has been on the forefront of launching several new products in the Indian market this year, including the Exter micro SUV, the new-generation Verna sedan, updated Aura compact sedan, and the i20 and i20 N Line facelifts. With a commitment to excel, the South Korean automaker has plans to expand its product portfolio in India in the coming years, introducing several exciting models.

1. Updated Hyundai Creta:

The refreshed Hyundai Creta is expected to draw design cues from the globally popular Palisade SUV. It will introduce Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with a host of functionalities, including blind spot monitoring, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, high beam assist, and lane keep assist. The SUV is likely to feature a fully digital 10.25-inch driver’s display, a premium Bose sound system, automatic climate control, and a plethora of other advanced features.

2. Updated Hyundai Alcazar:

The Hyundai Alcazar facelift will receive cosmetic updates, while its engine lineup is anticipated to remain unchanged. Some design elements may align with the forthcoming Creta facelift. Inside, expect to find refreshed seat upholstery, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and the inclusion of ADAS technology. It will continue to be powered by the 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and the 115bhp, 1.5L diesel engines.

3. Hyundai Verna N Line:

The new-generation Hyundai Verna, introduced this year, is set to receive a sportier N Line variant in 2024. A camouflaged test mule has already been spotted, featuring distinctive elements like red brake calipers and alloy wheels similar to the Turbo trim and the top-end SX (O) trim. The Verna N Line will sport a slightly darker taillight section and various sporty enhancements on both its exterior and interior. It will be powered by the 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine.

4. New-Gen Hyundai Venue:

The second-generation Hyundai Venue is poised to be the first vehicle to roll off the assembly line at the company’s new Talegaon facility. Codenamed Project Q2Xi, this subcompact SUV is expected to undergo significant updates both inside and out. Specific details remain limited at this early stage.

5. Hyundai Exter EV:

A test mule of the Casper electric micro SUV was recently spotted testing in Europe, indicating a global launch in the second quarter of 2024. The Casper shares its platform with the Exter, which hints at the possibility of the Hyundai Exter EV being introduced in India to cater to the mass-market demand for electric vehicles.

6. Hyundai Creta EV:

Hyundai is also working on an electric version of the popular Creta, with an expected showroom debut in early 2025. While powertrain details are currently undisclosed, it is anticipated that the Creta EV will feature the Kona EV’s 100kW permanent magnet synchronous motor and a 39.2kWh lithium-ion battery, aligning with Hyundai’s commitment to electrification.
