Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first in their World Cup match against Sri lanka which is being played amid severe pollution levels in the city. The AQI (Air Quality Index) near the venue is close to 400.

Tanzim Hasan replaced Mustafizur Rahman in the Bangladesh playing XI as the left-arm seamer is not fit. In the Sri Lankan XI, Dhananjaya de Silva and Kusal Perera came in for Chamika Karunaratne and Dushan Hemantha.

A day after Bangladesh called off their training session, Sri Lanka, too, decided to stay indoors rather than practise on Saturday due to the rising air pollution in New Delhi.

After refusing to go for practice on Friday, Bangladesh braved the pollution to hit the nets on Saturday evening. Coaches and players arrived to the practice areas for a light session in protective face masks.

The two teams are set to play each other in their penultimate preliminary stage match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday.
