Buzz: Part 5 of this superhit Indian franchise to kickstart soon

Back in 2010, Akshay Kumar starred in a comedy film named Housefull. The movie was a big success at the box office, and later, it evolved into a franchise. Till now, four films have come in this franchise, and all of them are massive hits. Housefull 4 opened to terrible reviews, yet it collected nearly 200 crores nett, solidifying the franchise’s craze among filmgoers.

Akshay Kumar will star in Housefull 5, which is currently in the pre-production stage. As per a few reports in Bollywood, the actor will begin shooting for this fifth installment from the second week of January. The makers are planning to produce this comedy caper on a huge canvas. Housefull 5 is expected to arrive in theatres during Diwali 2024.

Franchise films are ruling the roost currently in Bollywood, and it looks like Akshay Kumar understood this aspect pretty well. Housefull 4 had Rana Daggubati as the antagonist, and we need to see if the makers would rope in any South Indian actors for the fifth part. Sajid Nadiadwala will produce the film, while the details about the director and star cast are not yet disclosed.
